This month my portfolio earned $1005.08 in dividends.
December saw quite a large portion of my portfolio DRIP, due to the small market downturn we had towards the end of November and early in December. Pretty exciting stuff to see so many of my holdings back on DRIP again!
The investments I made last month with my investment loan performed a bit better than I expected and bounced back rather quickly. I intended to add more, but unfortunately, was not able to. As such, I made no purchases this month. I likely won’t be DCA’ing into my portfolio for the next while as the focus will be on debt. If there’s a good opportunity, I may use my HELOC to invest. This isn’t super ideal, but it’s fine considering I essentially pulled forward a lot of income to take advantage of what 2021 had to offer. Liquidating my leveraged portfolio and paying back all the loans I took would leave me with around 10k extra at this point in time.
Dividend strategy for the next while with my retained dividends will be primarily building cash (or using it to pay loans down) and reinvesting in a few ETFs. Right now, the main ones I’m considering are XYLD, HHL, HTA, TXF, and EIT.
