This month my portfolio earned $512.79 in dividends.
In September one of my stocks raised their dividend by 5.8% from $0.4775 cad to $0.505. On an annual basis this raise increased their dividend from $1.91 to $2.02, representing an $0.11 cent raise. With only have 10 shares of this company, which means an extra $1.1/year from current holdings. I do plan on scaling up my holdings of this company in the future.
My USD portfolio also benefitted from a 3:2 stock split in December. This will not be my first stock split, but it will be the first that is in a long-term holding. I look forward to seeing how this stock performs moving forward.
On the downside, one of my monthly dividend stocks will be cutting their dividend in February, but I expect DRIPs to largely make up the difference so there shouldn’t be a huge hit to my monthly dividends. Additionally, this is why I diversified, to help mitigate the impact of potential dividend cuts to my income portfolio.
Since starting my investing journey, I have received $3283.81 in dividends, of which $1823.29 were immediately reinvested through DRIPs. These reinvestments have since appreciated +10.71% providing an extra $195.31 in capital growth. Retained cash from dividends is at roughly $1460.52, most of which were indirectly reinvested. These figures exclude my USD portfolio.
My total dividends received for 2020 is $3251.92.
My projected dividends for 2021 is about $6200.
I hope to add approximately $1200-1500 in projected annual income over the course of 2021 for 2022.
